Patrick purchases shoes, and asks SpongeBob for help tying them. SpongeBob then realizes that he forgets how to tie his shoes. He ends up going crazy because his untied shoes is impacting his daily activities. After panicking that he can't tie a knot, the Flying Dutchman appears. He knows all about tying knots, but the Dutchman doesn't know how to tie shoes, because he doesn't have any. When Spongebob returned home, he was so frustrated at his inability to tie his shoes, until Gary licked his laces to tie his shoes. When he opened Gary's shell, he saw a vinyl recorder playing "Loop la Loop", which became the reason why his shoes were tied by Gary.
